Are we a fit? 2

You hear music in your head all the time.

Sometimes it’s a song from one of your favorite artists that you keep on repeat, keeping you company through the day.
Sometimes you’re not even aware that you’re singing, humming, or tapping to the beat of your inner playlist—and it’s driving people around you crazy.
Sometimes it’s an earworm that drives you crazy, and you wish it would go away.
(Tip: the best way to get rid of a tune in your head that you don’t like is to replace it with one you do.)

And sometimes it’s a foggy notion of a song, or a little fragment of something your muse is sending.
It could be a snippet of a verse, a melodic hook, a compelling chord progression, or a funky rhythmic groove.
But you don’t have the whole thing yet, and it’s frustrating the hell out of you that you don’t know how to finish the song.

The Search for the Underground River of Inspiration

You’re thirsty. You know you’re close to finding a rich vein of creative inspiration, but you’re still just getting little trickles of juice—and you suspect there’s a river running underground somewhere nearby.
How can you find the flow?

If only you had a divining rod to help you tap into the current…

You’ve probably surfed through hundreds of YouTube videos, looking for clues to the puzzle of how to open the door. Maybe you’ve taken online songwriting courses.

But something’s still missing.

Who I Serve

Budding Songwriters

You want to touch people deeply with your songs—so they hear one and say:
“Wow, that song cracked me open.”
The kind of moment “Killing Me Softly With His Song” describes—only your song.

You don’t want to just imitate other people’s styles or churn out generic, soulless rehashes.
If you were content being a copycat, you could throw in the towel and let ChatGPT write some bland, lifeless filler for you. But your soul would never be at peace with that.

You’re trying to share a treasure with the world—but first, you need to find your way to it. You’ve been catching glimpses—little flashes of beauty, fragments of something deeper—but the full song still feels just out of reach.

You know the kind of song you’re after comes from putting yourself into it—your lived experiences, honest emotions, original musical material.
But being that honest feels risky.
Are you ready to let people see you as you truly are?

Heart-Centered Singers

You want to sing from the heart and find your natural voice.
You’re not looking for some overly technical or mechanical approach that pulls you out of your body and into your head.
You want to feel the connection—to the music, to your voice, to your listeners, to your self.

Beginner to Intermediate Guitar & Ukulele Players

You want to express yourself through your instrument—not feel clunky and mechanical while playing.
You want to build the kind of confidence that lets you be creative and musical, even if you’re not playing flashy solos.

Getting Past the Doubts

You’ve got this tug inside you that won’t leave you alone—a sense that you have a unique gift to share.
But those inner voices hold you back. You know the ones:

“Be realistic.”
“You’ll never make it.”
“It’s too much hard work—and you just want to have fun.”
“Only really talented or lucky people succeed in music.”
“It’s just your ego talking.”
“Get a real job and forget those dreams.”

Maybe it was a music teacher who shut you down as a kid. Or a well-meaning relative trying to steer you toward something “safe.” Or classmates who laughed at your poetry.

And somewhere along the way, those outside voices became your inner critic.

But despite all that, something keeps pulling you back.
That’s how you know—deep down—you’re meant to do this.

Is This a Fit?

Maybe you can figure it all out on your own. I get it—I was a stubborn do-it-yourselfer myself. And while there’s something satisfying about that path, it can also be long, confusing, and lonely.

Sometimes it’s just smarter to ask for directions from someone who’s been walking the same kind of road.

If you’re like me, it matters who you turn to for help.
I wouldn’t trust just anyone to guide me in finding my own musical voice—and I don’t assume I’m the right fit for everyone either.

I trust that if you’ve read this far, you’re someone who’s ready to go deeper.
You’re probably motivated, maybe even guided by something unseen.
And I trust you to sense whether this approach resonates with you.

My hope is that this page helps you find a little more clarity—about where you’re headed and whether it would be a good fit for us to work together.
